Hello there. I am Shu Ning, a fresh BFA(Visual Communications) graduate from the School of Art, Design and Media at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. I love exploring the use of various media to tell stories observed from everyday experiences. With an interest in craftwork, I inject the handmade element in all my graphic design and art projects. the full story: I have been prancing about making art since a child and started studying art formally in Secondary school continuing into Junior College, with the Art Elective Programme. I took the plunge into design only in University and have been enjoying the journey ever since! In my free time, I have my hands buried in fabric and yarn, conjuring up whimsical creations for my handmade brand, Momshoo. Here, together with my mother, we hand-sew and hand-knit plush toys, brooches, earrings, passport covers (and other less useful products) for sale at flea markets. Crafting is my passion and I have dabbled in pottery, mosaics, paper cuts, knitting and sewing (of course!), rock painting, paper quilling, origami, book-binding, beading and jewellery making, folk art, scrap booking, silk-screening, lino-cutting... I am also part of Popin, a craft collective, which allows me to share my craft and bring people together through the act of making. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - my other online presence: my Sketch-blog for travel journals and other doodles, and my Blog for more of my ramblings on daily life.
